BAWL is the most recent track released by CAST. It was also the last song released in 2020 (on Juneteenth).
The song is his reflection of the current generation’s lamentations. It was created and released in the midst of the George Floyd protests and COVID-19 Pandemic.
For every pre-save of the song, Illo donated $1 to Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp, whose mission is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders.
Additionally, 100% of all 2020 streaming revenue of BAWL was donated to the Know Your Rights Camp.
Over $500 was donated. Donors were individually posted on social media.
