KALEIDOSPACE is a Queens-based art collective focused on the intersection of art, activism, and community. The collective creates events for artists to bring their work and talents forward, focused on finding strength, healing, and comfort in the collective ritual of sharing and receiving.
Since then, the team has grown deeper into the Queens arts community, thanks to activists and grassroots support. Other events have included a showcase dedicated to Breonna Taylor and Vanessa Guillén supported by Queens museum, a coloring book fundraiser in collaboration with muralist and children's book author Janel Young, a Holiday X-MAS Market to allow BIPOC artists and vendors to sell their work, and The Black Atrium Film Festival, an independent film festival showcasing the work of Black and Brown filmmakers from NYC.
Illo is a proud partner of the collective and continues to provide curation, funding, and artwork as a founding member of the KALEIDOSPACE team.
